Imagine you’re sitting in a crowded, stuffy, and extremely delayed airplane surrounded by cranky passengers. The loudspeaker comes on. Everyone is expecting words of encouragement from the pilot, but instead, the voice of a female flight attendant echoes throughout the plane. “Ay, ay, I said, aaaaay. Y’all on a plane flight, so don’t get crazy.” Ladies and gentleman, Bon Qui Qui, AKA comedian Anjelah Johnson, is in the house.

The former Oakland Raiders cheerleader-cum-comedian, Johnson is back on tour with her memorable alter egos like Beautiful Nail Tammy, hilarious family stories, and ideas on ethnic dating strategies. The tiny five-foot-three ghetto-hoop-wearing Native-American/Mexican funny girl graces South Florida with her presence at 8 p.m. and again at 10:30 p.m. Friday — with more shows scheduled through Sunday — at Hollywood’s Improv Paradise Live (5700 Seminole Way, Hollywood). Tickets cost $22 and can be purchased by calling 954-981-5653 or by visiting improvftl.com.
Fri., April 8, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sun., April 10, 2011
