These Heels Were Made For Walking

Your friend says she's a marathon runner? Puh-leeze! She may run 26.2 miles once a year, but has she ever walked a marathon in stilettos? Tell her to leave her New Balance at home and to strap on a pair of her favorite Manolo Blahniks this month for the Glam Doll Strut in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The two of you can join other women, men, children, and even pets as they dress in their sassiest garb and strut their stuff to raise money for breast cancer, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund at Broward Health Coral Springs. High heels will be hitting the pavement on Saturday at SW Second Street at SW Fourth Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participate in the strut for only $45. Participate as an individual, or form a team. Teams with the most money through registrations and donations can compete to win the fabulous Glam-a-Thon crown. Don't forget to be creative with your team name, attire, and fundraising methods.
