Three Cheers for Green Beer!

Swing your shillelagh Saturday at Delray Beach’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, taking place from 1 to 2:30 p.m.! This year’s event boasts environmentally friendly touches (some may say green) like $1 discounts for drinkers who reuse their beer cups. Party before the parade at 10 a.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. at the parking lot east of Old School Square (51 N. Swinton Ave.). Or go for a three-fer and check out the “Green” party at the NE Second Ave. Publix parking lot at 2:30 p.m. The parties and parade are free, but expect to shell out some greenbacks for food, drinks, and novelty purchases. And get your Blarney on at Irish Fest, March 15 and 16 along Flagler Street and in the Meyer Amphitheater (105 Evernia Avenue, West Palm Beach). Live dancing and singing performances run from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $12. For more information, call 561-659-8007, or visit
