Three Conversations About Three Things

A year ago, Inside Out Theatre produced a play called Manuscript, which was about, among other things, how secrets tend to destroy people. Then came Brian Friel’s profound The Faith Healer, about the spectacular disintegration of two people who thought they loved each other. And then, in November, came the rather less-profound Triptych, about the strange balance of power in a troubled relationship. These were all good nights at the theater, which may be why they’re now producing Brian Harris’s Tall Grass, a series of three one-acts about each of these things. They don’t have anything to do with each other — except that reviewers the world over have unanimously praised their sexy creepiness — but that’s just fine. Inside Out likes to keep us in the dark, and is always at its best when it engages us there. Tix cost $10 (for students) to $30 (for most other folks), and all performances are at The Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art (1 East Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale).
