To Baby or Not to Baby

Making the choice to have a kid is never easy. Making the choice to have a kid when you don’t know if the baby or the apocalypse will come first? Much harder. In the play Lungs, a couple are deciding whether to have a child, but they’re doing it in a climate of political anxiety in which the future of the world is as up in the air as their plans to reproduce. Nominated for the Helen Hayes Best New Play Award, Lungs reveals the overwhelming responsibilities of parenthood and the difficult decisions parents must make every day by setting it against the backdrop of the end of the world — talk about life-and-death decisions. Lungs runs through April 14 at the Arts Garage. Showtimes are Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturday matinees at 2 p.m., and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $30 to $40. The Arts Garage is located at 180 NE First St. in Delray Beach. Visit, or call 561-450-6357.
Wednesdays-Fridays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: March 27. Continues through April 14, 2013
