Treats and Beats

No one knows for sure which is the scarier proposition: Boca Raton on Halloween or Lil Jon in Boca Raton during Halloween, making the attendants of the fifth-annual Trick or Beats two-day event extracrunk with his crunkiness. Actually, scratch that -- what could possibly be better than having Lil Jon, who just had a pretty cool turn as a spokesperson in the latest Rock the Vote commercial, hosting this year's bash? Aside from his hosting duties, Lil Jon will perform on Halloween with Caked Up, Herobust, Ale Mora, Brass Knuckles, Crespo, and Grant & Duval. The eardrum-beating doesn't end there, with Borgeous expected to bring his "Tsunami" waves crashing through Saturday's festivities with Grand Theft, Tyler Sherritt, Shanahan, Maure, Maci Delaghetto, and Mister Gray in tow for another DJ-led assault on the senses. And just because the sound in the Cove ends at 11 p.m. on both nights, revelers can still enjoy the afterparty this year at Club Cinema. Ticket packages are available and run the gamut from one-day passes to full boutique, two-day VIP experiences, and these are all on the festival's website. You'll know what to turn down for this Halloween, whether you attend Friday or Saturday, since the beats will beat from 4 to 11 p.m. on both days at Sunset Cove Amphitheater, 20405 Amphitheater Circle, Boca Raton.
