Up Close and Musical

From the television set to live onstage before your eyes, the stars of NBC's hit reality singing competition The Voice are coming to Fort Lauderdale. Great news for fans of what's become the most watched singing competition on the tube, as Season 6 winner Josh Kaufman is confirmed to be hitting the road too as part of the cast of The Voice Tour. The other top-three finalists from this season -- Jake Worthington and Christina Grimmie -- are joining this soulful singer/songwriter as well. Also confirmed for the lineup is Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin, runner-up Jacquie Lee, and third-place-finisher Will Champlin. Dia Frampton, a Team Blake favorite from Season 1, will be joining this talented cast also. Audience members will have a chance to relive favorite moments from past seasons as these gifted singers reach for reality-television glories. The difference being, audience members get to be their own personal judges this evening and weigh which performer outshines the rest. This singing spectacular starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts' Au Rene Theatre, located at 201 SW Fifth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets cost $35 to $65; club level costs $140, VIP $149.50. Call 954-522-5334, or visit browardcenter.org.
