West Palm Beats

With the Winter Music Conference kicking off on the 24th, South Florida’s dance heads are sure to spending a lot of time in Miami over the next few weeks. But now, people looking for a legit club experience outside of SoBe can pregame their WMC adventures at Monarchy, the newly opened nightclub in downtown West Palm Beach. Cleve Mash and Rodney Mayo, perhaps the two most seasoned veterans of Clematis nightlife, will be handling operations at the 6,000-square-foot venue; they promise to bring a unique brand of “upscale cool” to the club.

The pair is savvy enough to know that the best way to accomplish that is to draw the sort of big-name electronic acts that are typical of dance Meccas like New York and SoBe. The club’s Thursday night gathering will feature a rotating cast of DJs; this week is Oscar G, resident DJ at Club Space in Miami. Ten bucks will get you in the party, which should rock well into the eve.

Find Monarchy at 221 Clematis St. For more info, call 561-835-6661.
