Wetlands and Wildlife

An alligator emerges to the water’s surface with a menacing grin. And as the sun sets over the wetlands of the Everglades, the sky is filled with thirty different shades of red, orange and pink. Don’t miss these breathtaking moments captured by Phoenix at the Visuals of Nature: Wetland Wonders Photography Exhibition at the Broward Art Guild. Phoenix, a professional nature and wildlife photographer, has won many photography awards including top ranking Individual Artist Recipient of 2013 Creative Investment Program (CIP) Grant. See thirty of her spectacular photos on display at the Broward Art Guild, located at 3280 NE 32nd St. in Fort Lauderdale, from Saturday, April 20 through Saturday, April 27. And don’t miss your chance to meet the artist at a free cocktail reception on Wednesday, April 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Make a donation and receive raffle tickets for a chance to win three beautiful photograph prizes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit HANDY, an organization dedicated to serving disadvantaged youth in Broward County. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public. The gallery is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, from Noon to 9 p.m., Thursday, from Noon to 6 p.m. and is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
