You can't swing a dead Noid these days without hitting some comedian from the 1980s doing a "comeback" tour (read: the account's gone dry!). But one-time CableAce winner Paula Poundstone is doing her best to distance herself from the flock of other funny folk from comedy's heyday. After her 2001 arrest involving driving under the influence and a handful of underage kids, Poundstone has turned her career around, becoming a frequent contributor on NPR and penning her own memoirs. Tonight, Poundstone will take the stage at the Broward Center to deliver the kind of adult-oriented, self-deprecating humor that made her a hit 20 years ago.
