What Up?

Funky music and funky beer just sound like they should go together. So it really should come as no surprise that a funktronic band from Brooklyn is making its way down to play a show at the sixth borough’s funkiest brewery and lounge. Dopapod, a Brooklyn-by-way-of-Boston, punk/experimental funk-rock band, is coming to play the Big Up Music & Arts Festival Satellite Party at the Funky Buddha Lounge on Thursday. Hosted by Brotherly Love Productions and the Big Up, the party starts at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $8 in advance, $12 at the door. Guests must be 18 and up. The Funky Buddha Lounge is located at 2621 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton. Call 561-368-4643, or visit thefunkybuddha.com.
