Silent auctions, fancy galas, and golf outings, all in the name of charity. Can you say yawn? We should have a good time doing events that support good causes. Well, it seems the queens over at Lips have the right idea, since they've decided to team up for an exclusive one-night-only show in support of Women in Distress. In celebration of everyone's favorite decade, Lips leading lady Diva and her glamorous squad, including Nicolette, Misty Eyes, and Twat La Rouge, will take the stage in full '80s garb for a night of neon, crimped hair, and more glitz than you can imagine.

"Diva's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Return to the '80s" benefit takes place at 7 p.m. Sunday at the oh-so-fabulous Lips (1421 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Oakland Park). For a ticket price of $50, guests will feast on a three-course meal with one complimentary glass of wine or Lips' signature frozen cosmopolitan cocktail, all while enjoying a night of drag queen entertainment. There is also a VIP ticket option for $75 that grants guests premium seating for the show, a champagne reception for a meet and greet with cast members, a special gift bag, and one raffle ticket. For tickets, visit womenindistress.org and click on "Events," or call 954-760-9800, ext. 1253. For more info about Lips, visit lipsusa.com.
