For more than a month now, everything has been all red and green or blue and white for the holidays. That part of the season is finally over. Get ready to retire your Festivus gear -- including that much beloved ugly Christmas sweater -- and prepare for the New Year. In honor of the next big holiday, ActivistArtistA Gallery is holding a special private gallery opening reception for Black & White Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will run through January 17. And you guessed it: Guests are asked to wear black and white. The event, which is more formal than most of the openings at ActivistArtistA, will feature some of the area's top local artists: Yure Alencar, Anthony Burks, Paul Caprio, Chisolm, Kim Fay. Finger foods, soda, and wine -- for $5 to $7 -- will be available. The event is free, but RSVP is required. The gallery is located at 422 W. Industrial Ave. in Boynton Beach.
