Wheels of Steel

A seven trey Chevrolet walks up to a ’66 Bonneville, spits on its windshield, kicks it in the rims, rips off its spoiler, breaks an axle, and smashes dents in the doors. The Bonneville strikes back, chucking spark plugs through the windows, cutting off the break lines, snatching out the motor mounts, and leaving the parking lot slick with oil. This is “Car Warz 2011” at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood). The rides are in vicious competition for $40,000 in cash prizes, and glory.

There are more than 400 custom whips on display, from classics to donks, lowriders to luxury models, extreme rides, muscle cars, and more. Check out the hydraulic demos, buy into the hourly raffles, peep the latest work from high-end customizers, and ogle the flyest celebrity rides. Princie Markee Dee from the Fat Boyz will host. Famous rappers will perform. The chicks in the bikini contest will have your engine racing. The Warriors Car Club will be repping Seminole Pride, and all the best locals will be out in force. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and costs $20, free for those 13 and under. Call 954-931-9006, or visit carwarz11.com.
