The Sunday night drag revue Trannie Palace at Bill's Filling Station has been going strong for a year now, making it the premier destination to see six-foot-tall women with shoulderspans like linebackers saunter around the stage performing everything from showtunes to feats of mysticism (not to mention sheer mystery). What makes the shindig special is host Misty Eyez, who calls in a rotating cast of showgirls to don costumes and dance and sing to a different theme each week. No two performances are the same — you might show up on USO night, where buxom blondes do it big for the boys in blue, or for their Mommie Dearest tribute, always a classic drag staple. And, since there's no cover, you can save your cash to lube up on $3 Long Island iced teas. The fabulousness starts at 10 p.m. at 2209 Wilton Dr. in Wilton Manors. Call 954-567-5978, or visit billsfillingstation.com.
Sundays, 10 p.m. Starts: July 19. Continues through Jan. 3, 2009
