Ho! Ho! Ho! It's that time again, when Las Olas Boulevard transforms into a winter celebration. All the shops stay open late and revelers flock to the chic sidewalks; as many as 40,000 attendees came out last year to enjoy snow cones and holiday cheer. Winter fun in 80-degree weather, you ask? We know. We have that endless-summertime sadness too, but let's make the best of it. Put your imaginations in high gear Tuesday, when winter officially kicks in, and see flecks of snow drift down from rooftops as carolers belt out tunes and kiddies ice-skate in the rink. Be sure to pose with Santa for silly and memorable Facebook pictures. Parking is a bit tricky, so it's recommended to carpool or, better yet, bike over there. Don't forget to wear your tacky holiday headgear with bells and all to really liven things up. The evening is from 5 to 10 p.m. on East Las Boulevard from SE Sixth Avenue to SE 11th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. Visit lasolasboulevard.com. Free admission.
Tue., Dec. 3, 5-10 p.m., 2013
