Why is it that each generation of Saturday Night Live becomes a Mafioso-like family after the comedians leave the show? Adam Sandler (the don of the early-90s) has only so many jobs he can parse out among David Spade, Norm McDonald, and Rob Schneider. But, since the don may have forgotten about Jon Lovitz, the schnoz took his own nose into his own
hands. Thats right! Lovitz will perform at 8 and 10 p.m. Friday at the Improv Paradise Live (5700 Seminole Way, Hollywood). More shows are offered until Sunday. For $26.50, plus two items off the menu, you can observe Lovitz in the flesh, as opposed to watching his cartooned visage, The Critic, on grainy YouTube videos. Call 954-981-5653, or visit improvftl.com.
Fri., March 5, 8 & 10:30 p.m., 2010
