Yogic Glow

Reading over the lineup for the JETS Full Moon & Glow Yoga Bash at Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale gives off that vibe that someone with some sense took a look at the standard 20-something’s nightlife regimen and decided it’s time for an overwhelmingly blissful intervention. First, we’ll remove the DJ booth and replace it with the soothing sounds of crystal bowls in a meditative savasana. Next, put down the red Solo cup of draft and replace it with a cup of kava tea at the Aw Na Kava bar, where numerology charts and tarot readings await. Then, instead of wasting talents on creative ways of getting out of bad barroom conversations, take those talents to a workshop on crystal jewelry making by Crystal Kult. Last, set your focus on a live art performance by Erin Barylski as the full moon rises. Thursday, join the members of JETS (a special membership level at the museum for young persons age 18 to 30) for their monthly First Thursdays at the museum (1 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). The night runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and is free for members and $5 for nonmembers. Those who feel the hankering for debauchery can head to Bar Stache afterward for cocktails and reception in the 1920s-themed drinking den. RSVP is required by calling 954-262-0227 or by email at [email protected]
