You don't need to be an Olympic marathon runner to participate in the sixth-annual I Care I Cure... I Run 5K run on Sunday; you just have to have the heart. Own a pair of sneakers and an eager spirit and you're in. Join adorable 14-year-old actress Bailee Madison and Florida Panthers' mascot Stanley C. Panther in this walk/run, which is open to competitors of all skill levels. The I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation helps raise funds for cutting-edge cancer research. The hope is to find better cures for childhood cancer. So if you care for a cure, you'll be running. Afterward, bounce houses, rock climbing, and numerous inflatables are standing by to entertain the kids. And let us not forget the free food that awaits those empty runners' bellies and the magnificent raffles -- such as seven-day Caribbean cruises and two-day stays in the Bahamas and Orlando. This charitable day of family fun starts at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at the BB&T Center, located at 1 Panther Parkway in Sunrise. Price is $25 for adults and $20 for children. Participants receive a free T-shirt. Call 800-807-8013, or visit icareicure.org.
