Locals definitely have talent, and the
6th Annual Palm Beach Idols showcase is going to prove it. To raise money for the Maltz Jupiter Theatres Conservatory of Performing Arts, 24 artists will sing, dance, and perform to take home first prize in this talent show.
Not to worry you arent going to need a gong during this performance. The performers were selected from 85 acts that participated in preliminary auditions held at the end of June. The evening will include a young drummer prodigy, a 70-year-old harmonica player, and a dance troupe, not to mention singers of all genres. It is amazing that these are people you pass on the street and see everyday, says event coordinator Eileen Weissmann. You see them as normal people; but then you see them on the stage they become mini-stars. It is amazing to see how much talent we have in the area.
The talent show gets started Saturday night at 7:30. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is located at 1001 E. Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter. Tickets cost $25 and are available by calling the Maltz Jupiter Theatre box office at 561-575-2223, or at jupitertheatre.org.
