There was a time when yoga was exotic. It was something strange foreigners and dirty hippies did, bending their bodies into impossible poses. We have (for better or for worse) Americanized yoga. Studios are everywhere, and the sight of women carrying candy-colored yoga mats down the street barely turns a head. Those yoga pants, though... Bamboo Garden is a special place to get bendy, with its peaceful outdoor setting. As the name implies, out behind the studio you'll find a beautiful garden with a covered wood deck where outdoor yoga and meditation classes take place. The studio offers an impressively wide variety of classes, from sunrise to sunset, from beginner vinyasa to advanced aerial yoga (where poses are done by positioning one's body in loops of silken material that hang from the ceiling). Bamboo Garden also participates in the Connected Warrior project, which offers free yoga to veterans, service members, and their families. Spin classes, HIIT interval training, and boot camp are also on tap.
