Anyone familiar with the beach bar culture of Deerfield Beach knows the Resolvers. At times, this five-man reggae band can single-handedly draw everyone within ear range into Kahuna's, where they have a weekly residence. From that point on, the group starts a party reminiscent of a Jamaican beach bash. They've got a knack for bringing people together and then hitting listeners over the head with pure rub-a-dub reggae. Audiences love them for it, and the group's lead singer, Ojay, has a voice that's eerily similar to early Jacob Miller or Dennis Brown. They're playing a benefit show this weekend for a local tennis organization. Admission is free, but proceeds from CD sales go to those in need.
