Remember the Pheromones, the Bus, dot Fash or Voodoo Death Gods? If you do, chances are you know the Numb Ones. The hometown alt-rockers have been performing for the past six years under a slew of other names before settling on their current moniker two years ago. They've also finally clawed their way out of the 954, recently signing to L.A. label Cleopatra, which obviously digs their newer take on mid-'90s post-grunge, with loud guitars and nihilistic, drug-addled lyrics. Joining them are the Helldorados, champions of in-your-face, blue-eyed blues. Comprised of veteran rock musicians and South Florida Blues Society players, they've been performing together since 2003. It's another quintessential night of quintessential rock at Fort Liquordale's quintessential dive. And it's free. Remember to wear your drinking shoes.

The Numb Ones and Helldorados play at 11 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Poor House, 110 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. The show is free. Call 954-522-5145.
