Launched three years ago, the band has already released two CDs: a self-titled six-song 1994 demo and the recently released eleven-song Sexy Taxi. Recorded at Who Brought the Dog Studios in Miami, Sexy Taxi was engineered and mixed by Frank Woolf, a former guitar technician for national act Inner Circle. Woolf also lent his guitar-playing skills to the track "Tonight," which has received airplay on WZTA-FM (94.9) on Sunday nights as part of its "Zeta Goes Local" program.
In addition to numerous benefit concerts, including last year's AIDS Research Benefit Concert in Hollywood, and free shows at UCF in Orlando and FAU in Boca Raton, EXIT has appeared at Squeeze and Cheers in Fort Lauderdale and Rose's Bar & Lounge in Miami. The band's steady paycheck, however, comes from their weekly Thursday-night show at Bulldog Cafe in Fort Lauderdale, where the band's music is accepted by the diversified likes of vivacious teens and nostalgia-happy rock fans who jokingly yell out "play some Skynyrd, man
