It's tough to nail down one place to start enumerating Marc Anthony's talents. He's as complete a performer as Latin music has ever known, amassing accolades for his recordings and captivating fans with his passionate stage presence. And he's not just a record-setting Latin artist — top-selling salsa singer of all time, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, and the first to sell out MSG (the New York arena Madison Square Garden, not the food additive). He also took English-language pop by storm with his eponymous 1999 release, which went triple platinum and was fueled in large part by hit single "I Need to Know." His success on the American charts wasn't a fluke, though. Anthony followed it up with 2002's Mended, which debuted at number three on Billboard's Top 200. Topping music charts isn't this multiple Grammy winner's only trick in the bag, however. He's also forayed to the big screen, landing memorable roles like the crackhead in Martin Scorsese's Bringing Out the Dead and starring as lead cokehead in the Hector Lavoe biopic El Cantante. And he's even ventured into sports recently, buying a stake in your own Miami Dolphins organization... and while we're on it, how 'bout them Fins!!! Z
