The off-Broadway musical Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn is touted by Mosaic as equal parts hope, joy, spring, and laughter. It will feature songs from Finns double Tony Award-winning musical from 2005, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; and from Falsettos, a two-act, partly autobiographical account of a gay Jewish guy. But for those still looking for their dose of dreariness from Mosaic, its said that some of the numbers in Finns songbook are haunting. Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn kicks off Thursday at 8 at the Mosaic Theatre (12200 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation) and runs until March 21. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 3 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets cost up to $37. Call 954-577-8243, or visit mosaictheatre.com.
