Sexy Corpses

Thursday night, Revolution will be full of hot bodies and cold blood. It’s going to be the adult version of Clue when the Fort Lauderdale-based burlesque troupe the Reckless Dames perform their “Death Becomes Her” murder mystery show. Here’s the setup: Each dame was killed, and her murder will be shown to you on video. Then she’ll perform on stage, giving the audience a hint about her death. “I am the detective,” says Dames leader Miss Onyx Star. “One by one, I will talk you through these murders, and present them as open cases.”

This hot detective show features artists with extreme striptease skills. They will use their murdered, female bodies to seduce, to showcase their sexual awareness -- and they’ll do so with total comfort. “Burlesque isn’t an art that is commonly accepted,” says Star. “To me, burlesque is beauty. Women are beautiful regardless if they look like today’s typical model. It’s about loving who you are and not caring what anyone thinks.” For more bones, you can either eat a vegetarian-friendly dinner beforehand while watching clips from old murder/detective flicks or during the burlesque performance. At 8 p.m., the show will start: There will be a fire performance. The night, sponsored by Radio-Active Records, will also exhibit art from Kreepy Tiki Tattoos, Michelle Yoder Photography, and Miss Onyx Star, among others. The show costs $17, $30 with dinner.
