For a ball club that fails to make any serious offseason acquisitions, has done virtually nothing to upgrade last seasons craptacular bullpen, and has a manager that may or may not suffer from narcolepsy during games, the Florida Marlins front office is sure talking a shitload of trash these days. Theres great young talent, to be sure with Josh Johnson and NL batting champ Hanley Ramirez leading the way. You also have Rookie of the Year Chris Coghlan entering his first full season, Jorge Cantus 100 RBI ability, and Dan Ugglas big-game stroke. The possibilities had team President David Samson telling the Sun-Sentinel that the season will end in a pile. Lets hope hes talking about the kind you see when a team wins a championship of some sort and not a pile of something else entirely. The Fish take on the Cincinnati Reds at 7:10 p.m. Thursday at Sun Life Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens). Tickets start at $9. Visit florida.marlins.mlb.com.
