You try to be a good child, but temptations have been known to grab hold. And when they do, who’s still there for you? Mom. That’s who.

Today you can make up for past sins by giving Mom what she wants most: quality time with you. Well -- let’s be honest -- she’d also like an excuse to shake her booty. You can look like a great kid and achieve both goals when you sweep Mom off her feet and escort her to the One Love Reggae Festival. From noon to 10 p.m., you two can sway along as more than a dozen internationally famous artists drop their signature island riddims at the Cruzan Amphitheatre (601-7 Sansbury’s Way, West Palm Beach). Third World, Tanto Metro and Devonte, Tonya Stephens, Freddie McGregor, and more than a dozen others will keep the party bouncin’ while you absorb the culture that keeps South Florida vibrantly slathered in jerk sauce. Tickets cost $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Visit Caribflex.com for participating ticket vendors.
