Remember when punk used to be about slamming your bedroom door, cranking the stereo to 11, and being pissed at your parents for not letting you go to the Rancid show downtown? Some venues are still well aware of what punk was like before people like Pete Wentz and Avril Lavigne decided that punk wasnt so much about the music but more about auditioning for commercials and reality shows. Propaganda (6 S. J St., Lake Worth) is down with the cause and has booked a handful of classic Florida punk bands ranging from straight-up, old-school punk offered by the Shakers to hardcore metal punks Murderous Rampage. Flees and Belt Buckle Death Sentence will also be there, screaming profanity and reminding everyone that punk isnt about skinny jeans, haircuts, and whining. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $5.
