Students from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and Miami International University of Art & Design will go open-toe to open-toe Friday and Saturday for Style Wars. Each student team will have to create a fashionable item from scraps of fabric in an hour or less. (Project Runway on steroids?). Mall passers-by and guests can watch the countdown. Sun-Sentinel fashion writer Rod Hagwood will host, and judges will include Linda Behmoiras, The Boca Raton Observer publisher; Alexandra Schultz, Boca Raton Magazine assistant editor; and Emily Pantelides, WPEC CBS 12 news reporter.
