Did you lose your ticket to Oprah's Legends Ball? Then you have no business missing out on Icons & Legends at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center this Saturday at 7 p.m. Rising neo-soul artist Emotion will perform his original tracks along with music from legendary entertainers such as Nat King Cole, Luther Vandross, the O'Jays, Elton John, and Al Green. The Miami R&B artist will be joined by America's Best Dance Crew's Philip Wright, in addition to special appearances by other local artists Sherry Johnson, Marquez Davis, and Lamihya Manuel. To top off the night of family entertainment, the entire cast will transition from soul to pop, performing a tribute to the late, and certainly great, Michael Jackson.

Founded in 1975, the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center fosters emerging talent in Miami's youth community. Tickets cost $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
Sat., Sept. 12, 7 p.m., 2009
