If you think Yoo-hoo brings out the true flavors of Doritos, it’s time to broaden those horizons, my friend, by checking out New Times’ annual Pairings event tonight. Around 50 of the area’s hottest restaurants will be representin’ with samples of fine eats, brought together with cocktails, wines, and craft beers. Also expect a silent auction with music memorabilia and artwork, cooking demos, and a performance from rockabilly band The Delusions.

Tip a glass and start biting at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW Fifth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. VIP tickets are $95 and general admission tickets are $45, with a portion of all proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross’ Broward County Chapter. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. for VIPs and 7:30 p.m. for the rest of us peons.
