British fashion photographer Rankin made a name for himself conjuring edgy images of Kylie Minogue, the Spice Girls, and Queen Elizabeth II. Now he has turned his lens toward Scotland for the Macallan Masters of Photography collection. True to its name, Rankins exhibit is an intoxicating suite of Polaroid snaps celebrating one of the worlds finest single-malt elixirs: Macallan Scotch.
The liquid housed in every bottle of the Macallan is truly an achievement in artistry, telling the story of the distillery, its people, and their underlying dedication to the mastery of single-malt, Rankin crows. Its a privilege to translate the Macallan narrative into a visual representation of the brand.
If you show up for the opening event this Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the PressitOn Art Gallery in the Design District, you can even line up to purchase a limited-edition bottle of Macallan emblazoned with Rankins pics in a velvet-lined black leather box. The cost: only $1,695 a pop. Luckily, gazing at Rankins boozy shots is free with a mandatory RSVP to [email protected].
