It seems the only time boxing is in the news lately is when a near legend is murdered/commits suicide or something awful befalls Mike Tyson. Rather than dwelling on tragedy, focus on the sheer face pummeling going down tonight at 7 at Hard Rock Live’s Friday Night Fights. The card features some of boxing’s best young fighters, like Victor Cayo, a 24-year-old, undefeated lightweight who has amassed 15 knock outs in 22 fights. Cayo is taking on two-time, world-title-holding Julio “The Kidd” Diaz, known in boxing circles for his aggressive, non-stop punching style. Heavyweights Carl Drummond (26-1 with 20 KOs) and “Gentleman” Chazz Witherspoon (25-1 with 17 KOs) will also face off; each are looking to build their resumes for a crack at the title belt.

Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at the Hard Rock Live box office at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood, or by calling 800-745-3000. Visit warriorsboxing.com for more information.
