The film is an adaptation of an autobiographical novel of the same name, and it stars celebrated British actors Jim Broadbent and Colin Firth. The two portray a father and son with a complicated relationship — one that’s muddles even further by the father’s imminent demise and a heart-breaking string of communication breakdowns. You’ll follow Firth’s character from his awkward childhood into adulthood, when he is forced to evaluate his memories in a new light.
