You spent most of your youth collecting a mental bank of dirty limericks. You knew about the man from Nantucket and his rather large member, the girl from Madras who loved her donkey a bit too much, and a fishmonger named Babs who had one nasty genital ailment. You spent hours writing and perfecting your own filthy rhymes as well, only you didn’t have an outlet to express them. But now you can dust off all your old classics, because Durty Werdz, the original erotic poetry slam competition, is going down every last Tuesday of the month at Dada (52 Swinton Ave., Delray Beach).

The rules are simple: Show up at 9:30 p.m. and register for your perverted turn on stage. The slamming is broken down into three rounds; the first being poems on any subject, while the next two must be erotic, sexual, or sensual in nature. At the end of the night, the judges will select the poet who generated the most heat and award the filthy bastard with $175 in cash. Not bad, considering registration costs only $5. Just come prepared for some stiff competition. For more info call 561-330-DADA, or sign up in advance by calling 754-214-6024.
Last Tuesday of every month, 9:30 p.m. Starts: Aug. 26. Continues through Jan. 31, 2008
