Thats the thing about family: Its a crazy assemblage of folks that youre forever tied to, whether you would personally choose them to be or not. High school physics teacher-turned-comedian Steve Solomon not only understands the unifying effect of family commiseration, hes built a career on it. His previous one-man-show, My Mothers Italian, My Fathers Jewish, and Im in Therapy, sold out across the country. Now hes got a new bank of stories about the same colorful cast of characters in My Sisters an Only Child. With Solomon channeling voices and dialects from his Brooklyn upbringing, youll laugh along with the knowledge that, yes, someone else has been through it, and, no, the embarrassment never actually killed him. This performance runs Thursday through Sunday at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale), and tickets range $25 to $35.
