Unlike the graphically misleading King Tut exhibit (what, no sarcophagus?), theres no allusion to anything other than artwork being displayed in the exhibit Dali on Tour. If theres any assumption to make, its that the tour features plenty of works from the Dali Museum in Saint Petersburg an assumption that is wholly correct. In addition to pieces on loan from local collectors, the exhibit is a caboodle of prints, etchings, and lithographs from the master of Spanish surrealism. This includes Dalis famous floating still life, Nature Morte Vivante, as well as Hallucinogenic Toreador, a blurred view of a bullfight overlaid by images of the Venus de Milo. So, yes, Dalis stream-of-conscience masterpieces are coming to town. But, no, the artists withered remains arent traveling with them. Dali on Tour opens this weekend and runs through May 20 at the Coral Springs Museum of Art (2855 Coral Springs Dr., Coral Springs). Call 954-340-5000, or visit www.csmart.org.
