With the onset of spring, our equator-neighboring hometown has begun heating up rapidly, and it would be nice of us to take a moment to allow that warmth into our hearts — as well as our parked cars. Sunday, Indie Craft Bazaar takes over the charming Cinema Paradiso (501 SE Sixth St., Fort Lauderdale) with “Spring Fling.” Few things are as heartwarming as handmade arts and crafts, and Indie Craft Bazaar has been at the forefront of organizing events in South Florida to showcase these lovely creations.

The event will feature springtime activities such as sidewalk chalk doodling and Hula-Hooping alongside more than 35 talented vendors. In addition, there will be fortunetellers, henna tattoos, vegan cupcakes, raffle prizes, and a full bar — something for all varieties of birds and bees. If you go, bring along a container that you can use to plant some little spring seeds — maybe some flowers or kitchen herbs. The good people of ICB will provide the dirt and seeds. All that will be asked of you is that you nurture the seed and the good springtime feeling that you receive from attending this event so that you may blossom sweetly this season along with your new floral friend. The event runs from 1 to 6 p.m., and it costs just $4 to get in. Call 954-525-3456, or visit getupandcraft.com.
