There's nothing like a little clown love to revive a rap career. Especially when the chips are down, there's nothing the Insane Clown Posse's army of fans, known as "juggalos," love more than an underdog — even when casual fans turn away. Long after "Gangsta's Paradise" and years of flopping around on the fringes of reality TV, Coolio saw a revival after a tour with Insane Clown Posse and an appearance at the group's annual summer festival, the Gathering of the Juggalos.
The latest former mainstream star to benefit from the juggalos' largesse is Vanilla Ice. Ice, a Palm Beach Gardens resident, long ago put the pieces of his life back together, albeit through nonmusical pursuits like flipping homes and a reality-TV show. But thanks to support from the ICP army, he's back to rapping, now sporting a deal on the Posse's own Psychopathic Records, and proudly waving the juggalo flag. Check out a man in his full renewed glory this Saturday, when he performs for free at Chill Fest 2011 at the Seminole Casino Hollywood (not the Hard Rock).
