Save the Oceans in Style With Oceana

Oceana is an enormous conservation org trying to save the world from the collapse of aquatic ecosystems. It’s good at it — Charity Navigator gives it four stars — and it needs your help. Saturday night, at the glamorous W. (401 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale), you can do your part. With hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, music from the Sons of Mystro and the Honey Brothers, acrobatics from Circusoul, special guests Alexandra Cousteau (conservationist, granddaughter of Jacques-Yves) and Martin Stepanek (world-famous champion freediver), and an auction of crazy-awesome prizes — including a visit to the Galapagos with the Discovery Channel and a getaway to a French chateau — it will be the loveliest, swankiest, and noblest place to be in Fort Lauderdale tonight, at $150 a head. All enjoyed in a sublime pseudo-underwater environment, courtesy of Emagination. Doors open at 7 p.m. Visit
