And other times, our taste buds want not one dish but an indulgent menu of tapas and sweet desserts. What to do? Take your inner spoiled foodie to Get Downtown in Fort Lauderdale on Friday night for a food tasting with a bevy of cocktails on the cheap. Tickets cost a mere $25 at the door, which gets you tastes from 20 fine restaurants and two cocktails. Now in its 14th year, these folks know how to host your eating binge with small bites and desserts by Chima Steak House, China Grill, Burger Battle-winning Georgie’s Alibi, and Sweeties and Coldstone Creamery. Eat your way through the night from 5 to 8 p.m., going down in the courtyard in front of YOLO Restaurant.
