It's time for the annual rivalry of FAU and FIU to commence. Normally FAU does well in this game, and this year should bring in the crowds for a couple of reasons. First, it's the first Shula Bowl in the new FAU stadium, and second, it's the first year with FAU's new coach, Carl Pelini. So whether you're an Owls fan, a Golden Panthers fan, or a sparkly-new-stadium fan, it's worth checking this game out.
The game takes place Friday at 8 p.m. The stadium is located on FAU's campus at 777 Glades Road in Boca Raton. Tickets start at $13 and go up to $64; students get in free, and the usual alumni rates aren't available for this game because it's Military Appreciation Day. This means that people with a valid military ID get a special price: a $15 ticket and a free meal before the game. Call 866-FAU-OWLS, or visit fausports.com.
