You’re never too old for love, as evidenced by the crazy-high STD rates among senior citizens (no joke; an AARP article confirmed it). In the play The Last Romance by the Tony Award-winning author of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Joe DiPietro, two senior citizens meet in a park at a time in their lives when they both assume they’re past the age of finding love. As their budding relationship grows, they have to rediscover themselves, often in hilarious ways, in order to be together. The Last Romance begins Friday and runs through April 7. It shows at 8 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with matinee shows on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. The show is being presented by the Delray Beach Playhouse, located at 950 NW Ninth St. in Delray Beach. Tickets cost $30. Visit delraybeachplayhouse.com, or call 561-272-1281.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: March 22. Continues through April 7, 2013
