Morton's the Steakhouse is one of those places reserved for important occasions, like birthdays, anniversaries, and trying to close the deal on a third date. The Charles Krug Winemaker Dinner this Thursday evening may offer another excuse to break out the credit card in pursuit of a high-ticket beef dinner. Charles Krug's own Peter Mondavi Jr. will host the four-course dinner, which includes wine pairings and a silent auction benefiting the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. Diet be damned: On the menu are dishes like jumbo lump crab cakes, center-cut filet mignon, tuna tartare, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a cheese course. The dinner is Thursday at Morton's the Steakhouse, located at 777 S. Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served in a reception at 6:30 p.m., and dinner is at 7. The cost is $150 per person, including tax and tip. Call 561-835-9664, or visit mortons.com.
