Do you have an undying love for Dachshunds? Do you like to dress your Doxie up, teach it new tricks, or are you looking for more to add to your family? Look no further than Dachstoberfest! Despite being a temperamental breed, Dachshunds are a joy for owners to show off. In fact, Dachstoberfest is designed to show off your Doxie pride through a variety of contests. Attendees have the option of participating in the Doxie Dash Racing, costume contest, and an owner/pet look-alike competition. No matter what kind of Doxie you have, all ages, sizes, colors, and coats are welcome. Best of all, Doxies don't discriminate, as Dachstoberfest invites friendly dogs of all breeds to join in the fun. All proceeds from vendors and entry fees from each contest will go toward the Dachshund Rescue South Florida, a 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue/charity. Gather your Doxies on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and head out to the Great Lawn at Clematis Street and Narcissus Avenue in West Palm Beach. Admission is free. Doxie Dash Racing is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a $10 entry fee. Preregistration is recommended and can be completed online. For additional information about the latest news, vendors, contest registration, and schedule, visit dachstoberfest.com and Facebook.com/dachstoberfest.
