Whether you think you're into it or not, fashion is a big part of how we define ourselves. Even those who throw on a T-shirt and a pair of shorts every day are making a statement of some sort -- it's the "I'm too busy, too cool, or too hungover to care" look. So there's a huge segment of the population that is all about which designer Kimye wore to their wedding, which celebrities showed up wearing what, who wore it best, and so on and so forth. To them, sitting front row at a fashion show is like getting life advice from Bill Murray -- awesome. If you resemble the latter, make your fashion dreams a reality at the Fierce Goddess Fashion Show at Mystic Water Kava Bar this Saturday. Benefiting Women in Distress of Broward County, the event features original creations from the student designers of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, new styles from local boutiques, and handmade jewelry. A recommended $10 donation gets you in the door. It starts at 7 p.m. Mystic Water Kava Bar is located at 2037 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood. Call 954-391-7056, or visit the Facebook event page.
