Laughter is good for the soul. Laugh hysterically to well-known comedian Josh Sneed's jokes at the City Palace Improv Comedy Club and Dinner Theatre in West Palm Beach on Thursday and feel good about helping the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation. Sneed's comedy promises to let you have a good time at the event, dubbed "A Night of Laughter." He is one of the youngest top comedians in the country and has opened for Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, and Lewis Black. He also finished second out of 100 of Comedy Central's top comedians in the annual Stand-Up Showdown, landing him an album deal with Comedy Central. Sneed has been featured in Comedy Central Presents and Comedy Central's Premium Blend television shows. The upcoming improv show starts at 8 p.m. at the comedy club, which is located at 555 S. Rosemary Ave. and is only for folks who are 18 or older. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Gift of Life, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and facilitating bone marrow and blood stem-cell transplants for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood-related diseases. The Gift of Life currently maintains a growing registry of more than 230,000 volunteer donors and has facilitated more than 2,700 transplants. Advance tickets for the comedy show cost $15 and require a two-drink minimum purchase, which includes nonalcoholic beverages.
