Ice cream: It’s the sweet, cold, and tasty treat so dear to our hearts that we make up chants for it. It’s what we crave on hot summer days, it comes in a seemingly endless array of delicious flavors, and it becomes our own edible masterpiece with carefully selected toppings. This Sunday, you and the kids can indulge in a refreshing scoop at the kids’ play place Monkey Joe’s when it hosts a customer appreciation event for National Ice Cream Day. Monkey Joe’s will celebrate at all of its South Florida locations, including 11411 West Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton, 9980 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines, 6250 Lantana Road in Lake Worth, 3445 N. Hiatus Road in Sunrise, and 10301-B Royal Palm Blvd. in Coral Springs. Admission to the play center will be discounted to $7. There will also be prizes and giveaways in addition to the jungle of inflatables, including slides, jumps, and obstacle courses for kids ages 12 and younger. Then they can enjoy free ice-cream cups handed out to cool them down after an active afternoon. Visit monkeyjoes.com.
